Luxury Sleep Mask – Light Blocking

We have owned this sound machine since 2013, the year my son was born.We originally had a Cloud B Gentle Giraffe Sound Machine Soother (http://www.amazon.com/Cloud-Machine-Soother-Gentle-Giraffe/dp/B001S5E0RU), which was super cute but very annoying to have to turn back on every 45 minutes when the timer shut off. My husband and I would take shifts watching the timer on that thing to avoid it turning off and waking the baby. We finally got tired of it and ordered this to replace the high maintenance giraffe. After many months of having a 45 minute timer on our sanity, this thing felt like a private jet. You just push the button to turn it on… and it stays on until you turn it off! Amazing.A couple of other things I like about it:– It works with either a plug (included) or with batteries. We obviously use the plug most often, but it’s great to have the battery option when the power goes out, or if we are camping, on a road trip, etc.– It has six sound options, which are all nice and natural sounding with no weird-ness. We initially used the white noise most often (when my son was a newborn), but have since rotated through summer night, rain, and ocean. They are all great and my now 2.5 year old sleeps well with any of the sounds playing. In fact, not only does he sleep well with these sounds, but as an added benefit he automatically gets sleepy and knows to lay down when we turn it on (which is especially helpful when we are away from home and we need him to nap in the car or in a strange place).– It is durable and reliable. We have been using this sound machine for naps and night time every day for two years, and it has been on countless vacations, camping trips, and visits to out of state relatives. It’s still in great condition and works the same as the day we took it out of the box.Overall, this simple, modest little machine is probably in my top ten most useful baby related purchases.

My wife teased me when I told her what I had bought, now she uses them more than I do.Great blindfold, comfortable and blocks out light so well that I am cautious wearing them without an alarm clock in the morning.

Easy to use, sound quality is ok, but I mostly listen to audiobooks, but seem ok quality for music. They fit on my average size head, can sometimes get uncomfortable on the ears if sleeping on a hard pillow, but mostly I don’t notice them. Were easy to pair with my phone, battery lasts for a few nights, but you need to remember to plug them in when you get up.

It is well covered the light while it does not pressing my nose or forehead too much. Very comfy, not too thin, well made.

I was so on the fence about buying this pillow because the reviews seem so mixed.First of all, I think a lot of the reviews are due to user error. This pillow is supposed to expand for 24-48 hours before use. I waited the full 48 hours and it was great. When I checked on it at the 24 hour mark, it was definitely firmer than the 48 hour mark. I know it’s hard not to use the pillow you’ve just bought because it’s exciting! But really, it’s for the best to follow the instructions and let it expand for the full amount of time.Secondly, I see a lot of complaints that it’s “not cooling”. News flash! No pillow can stay cold *all the time*! That technology does not exist and is currently impossible! It has holes for ventilation, your body gives off heat that transfers to the pillow.Thirdly, the pillow does vary in firmness based on temperature. If it’s warm it’s gonna be a bit softer, if it’s cold it’s gonna be a bit firmer.The reviews are very mixed with people saying “my head sinks down all the way, there’s nothing to it!” and “It’s so firm like a brick! My head doesn’t sink at all!” this confused the crap out of me before buying. I think all of the above factors are the reason for variation in the reviews.I’ll try to give my most unbiased perspective on it. It is firm, I would not call it a brick though. My head sinks about halfway into it. It provides support, but isn’t stiff. It’s not super soft, it does take a minute to sink into. It holds your head in place. I am a side and stomach sleeper and I find it comfortable. I cannot speak for back sleepers. It is very lightweight, but thick, wide, and takes up a decent amount of space. The cover is soft, but you should still put a pillowcase over it. If you don’t like a pillow on the firmer side, you probably won’t like this pillow. If you’re looking for something super soft and squishy, this pillow is not for you. If you are looking for a firm memory foam pillow that keeps you in place, has good neck support, and keeps it’s shape. This pillow is for you.Overall, I like it! I’ve been sleeping on it for a couple weeks and I think it has helped my neck a bit. I’ve been sleeping very soundly and I have no issues. It’s a great price for the quality if it’s what you’re looking for, go for it!

I’ve tried many sleep masks over the years, but they all seem to have their shortcomings—bands that are too tight or too loose, sharp edges, light leaks, poor sizing, and so on. While they’re usually better than nothing, none have ever been truly perfect. This one, however, comes closer to perfection than any other I’ve tried. I purchased the black version.The mask is incredibly soft and comfortable around the eyes. The band is well-designed, hitting just the right spot with an ideal level of adjustability. Most importantly, it effectively blocks out all light.That said, I described it as “closer to perfection” for a reason: the nasal light-blocking area. To completely block light from below, the mask has to sit in just the right position. On my face, that placement slightly pinches my nasal passages, which can be a bit uncomfortable. While it doesn’t eliminate all light from beneath, it blocks out most of it—far more than almost any other mask I’ve used. To be fair, this is a challenging area for any design, given the variety of nose shapes and placements. Even with this minor issue, the mask performs better than anything else on the market and is by far the best I’ve used.The included carry case is a thoughtful addition, though I find it a bit small for the mask. Still, as a freebie, it’s a nice extra and could easily be repurposed for other small items like earbuds.Overall, I highly recommend this mask—it’s as close to perfect as they come.

A bit on the stiff side for my liking, very difficult to judge until you buy it. It comes compressed so I left it out in open air to expand naturally as per the instructions. No weird smell as reported by others but may also be subjective, I tried it for a few nights but eventually opted for a different memory foam pillow brand.

This is my go to sound machine and overall I recommend. We have several in our home. I regularly use for both of my children and also have one in my own room. If I could make two changes to the product, it would be as follows: 1) there’s a bright green light that turns on when the power is on. This can be disruptive to a sleep environment, (which in our case is usually one with the blackout curtains). I resolved this with electrical tape over the green light which works fine, but it would be nice if the light wasn’t there at all. And, 2) for some reason it automatically resets the sound to thunderstorm when the power goes out or flashes. This is not the sound I typically have as a default. We use the white noise setting. This can be disruptive to sleep, especially for babies or toddlers, when they wake up with different background sounds. I would prefer if it would go back to the last sound when restarting.It’s small enough and light enough for travel and does have a battery option, although I’ve never used it.Overall, recommend.

I have bought this same machine several times over the years for my kids. They don’t last forever; after a several years, the power knob starts to get worn out and the machine will cut out and you have to mess with the knob until you get it just right and it may or may not cut out again during the night. For the cost of it, that really doesn’t bother me because it’s worth it. Only my youngest, who is 9, still likes to use it at night. He’s had one in his room since he was a baby and always keeps it on the brook setting. The new one I just got looks the same, but has been updated…the shape is just slightly different than the last one I bought six years ago, and the power cord from the previous one doesn’t fit the new one, which is totally fine. The sounds are even more crisp and clear than before, which is really nice. This really is a great little machine.

Je suis épatée par ce produit, bien plus confortable que des écouteur classiques, et qui tient parfaitement en place quand on bouge la ́nuit. L’autonomie de la batterie permet une utilisation toute la nuit sans problème. Du coup je dors nettement mieux qu’avant et sans interruption. Une super trouvaille !

I wanted to use this for a few months before giving a review. I always need a sleep mask when I travel – because you never know if they provide a good black out covering curtain. Well this mask has been comfortable, soft, and best of all- it stays on all night! I have had other sleep masks that rotate or fall off, or even wiggle off my head through the night. This one is really great, the Velcro holds excellent and you can make it more snug or loose as needed. I really like hot there is a tiny flat where it meets your nose, so no light cane come through there either.I ordered the pink one and it looks very cute and I have hand washed it without issue. Considering getting one for my hubby as he has one that is a bit too tight. Hope they have other colors!

I didn’t want to spend money on blackout curtains so this was my alternative since I’m working nights. I was worried the first night that it was too tight but I didn’t want to loosen it because I didn’t want it to slip off, it didn’t hurt my head, I do have to put it a little higher on the back of my head because I don’t like the straps touching my ears. Overall good purchase, very comfortable. Not a sliver of light when it’s worn properly. I love it. I like the indent for your eyes because I don’t like things touching my eyes either (duh). Good purchase. The only thing I would change is putting a soft strap material over the ear. Other than that, perfect eye mask

I purchased this items knowing there were only six sounds on it. (I liked 4 of the six.) The sound quality was OK. My biggest complaint was the looping. Every ten to twelve seconds the sound would repeat over. It made my brain wake up and start counting instead of trying to let go and go to sleep. The ocean wave never finished crashing into the shore before it started coming inbound again. It was an OK purchase for the money, but I ended up buying a machine with no looping.

Works exactly how is expected. The audio choices are fun to change, slight noise quality issues, could be clearer. But I have noticed the further you stand back, the clearer it is.

I have been using this eye mask for around 2 weeks now, and truly love the feel and look and quality! It even comes with an extra fabric swatch and instructions on how to verify that the silk is authentic. It stays on all night with the adjustable velcro strap and is very comfortable. Worth the pricepoint 100%!

This is comfortable and blocks light. I need total darkness to sleep so this works perfectly. I like that it has a flexible wire to bend around your nose. It’s light-weight, soft, and stays in place the whole night. The strap is thin which bothers my ears less than eye masks with thicker straps. It comes with a travel case which is nice.

Great Machine I love that it can be used with batteries or with the cord provided and it’s effective for a relaxing sleep
