I love saunas and steam rooms, but budget and space constraints keep me from buying or building my own small room. I first became aware of these sauna blankets about a year ago, and was finally intrigued enough to order this to see how it performed.This is a heavy material that reminds me of the x-ray aprons I’ve worn at the dentist’s office, only heavier. Unlike what the instructions say and videos show, this does not open or close by zippers, but by velcro. If this is a recent upgrade it’s a good one, because the velcro makes this easier to get in and out of than a zipper would. Also, the photos and videos show arm holes that you can place your arms through if you want to use your hands, but this version does not have that. If you want to place your arms outside of this you need to take them out of the blanket at the top which means part of your upper body will be out too.The controller has two ends, with one plugging into the blanket, and the other into the wall. The remote is easy to use as well. Once this is plugged in, you simply turn it on, select your level and start time, and press start. Note that a long press on the timing buttons is quicker than doing short presses which only do one minute at a time. The cord is about 68 inches long, which is a decent length, but I did have to switch the orientation of mine on my bed because it wasn’t long enough the way I had it. I keep the controller separate from the blanket, and haven’t noticed it or the cord heating up during my sessions.I have to admit I was genuinely confused when I first unpacked this because both the instructions and the listing photos show a version with a zipper and arm holes. Since mine has neither, I spent several minutes trying to figure out which end was the top and where my feet were supposed to go. Once I realized the logo and power connection belong at the foot end, everything made sense, but the mismatch between the product I received and the instructions made for a frustrating first setup. If this is a newer version of the blanket, the manufacturer really needs to update the instructions and listing photos to match.I wear a cotton sweatshirt, pants, and socks for my sessions, since that is the recommendation. The instructions say you can warm this up before getting inside, but I prefer to just start my session and get in while it’s warming up. It takes about a minute and a half for me to feel warm, so it isn’t long. Now getting in is mostly easy with the exception of pulling the shoulder flaps down. I velcro this a little less than halfway up before I get in, then once I’m in, finish closing myself in. Not sure if it’s because my arms are short, but I cannot get the shoulder flaps to go over my shoulders since it’s hard for me to reach. I usually ask my daughter to help me, but if there’s no one around I can’t place those over my shoulders. Personally, the lack of arm slots isn’t a dealbreaker for me because I can still put my arms out if I want, but for those who were hoping for them they may be disappointed.My sessions right now are brief and I’m working my way up to the higher settings. I currently use level two (113 degrees Fahrenheit) for fifteen minutes, three times a week. I started at level one but I didn’t find that meaningfully warm, so switched to level two and did five minutes in the beginning. This is not hot at all, but it’s warm enough to be relaxing and calming. Since I’m still easing into using it, I can’t comment on how the higher temperature settings perform yet. With the lights off and some calm music, this is a warm treat for my body and mind. I am one that always sleeps with my feet outside the covers, so having my feet sealed into a warm blanket took some adjustment, which is why I started slowly.I think this is going to be a regular part of my routine because I find the warmth and weight of the blanket calming. I cannot speak to other benefits, but for me being relaxed and calmer is enough of an incentive to use this.

The version I selected is the one updated for 2026. The instructions and visuals can be somewhat misleading-the blanket employs velcro instead of zippers and does not feature arm openings, yet it is quite easy to use; the assembly is straightforward, and the remote control functions are simple. My primary purpose for purchasing this item was to find relief from discomfort, aid in muscle recovery, and promote relaxation while minimizing stress. I figured that even if the infrared blanket does not offer me much benefit, it would still serve as an oversized heating pad to ease my lower back pain. Up to now, I have only experimented with the initial three settings, which range from gentle heat to deep relaxation. I did briefly try out the top setting but not for an entire session duration. This blanket has exceeded my expectations so far; in addition to easing muscle tension, my overall mood is elevated, which is a considerable plus, particularly for anyone facing anxiety or stress challenges. As I am still adapting to it, I cannot yet provide feedback on the performance of the higher heat settings. Typically I throw on a pair of Pilates pants, a loose-fitting shirt, and socks for sessions lasting around 30 minutes, depending on my available time. The capability to use something like this at home is a considerable advantage over visiting a gym or spa. I like that tidying up and storing it is uncomplicated; I use a popular brand of cleaning wipes, and afterward, I simply fold the blanket and place it in the bag, which I then keep in the closet until I need it again. I am looking forward to experimenting with the blanket at its highest settings and trying out the sauna wraps included. This infrared blanket is truly a worthwhile investment, for the sense of calm and relaxation it provides.

I never tried an infrared sauna blanket before but I’ve heard great things about them, and having tried this one now I can confirm they really are very nice, this one in particular. It’s very well made, solid and sturdy, but soft and comfortable too. Excellent stitching and good design, it’s easy to setup and use for a quick session any time you have 15-30 minutes. It takes about 5-10 minutes to warm up, but you feel it right away, this isn’t just a fancy electric blanket, the heat is infrared based and you feel it internally as much as externally (or more). It’s good to be wrapped up in it as it’s warming up, so your body can gradually ramp up to the sauna heat level.The instructions are printed large and easy to read, in perfect English with helpful diagrams. I didn’t really have any kind of problems or issues with this, except there was one part of the instructions I think they could improve on a little bit. Two of my attached photos show the portions in question. One shows an image of a person at “Step 6: Relax” and shows a figure laid out with a string of “ZZZ” near their head. That’s the universal symbol for ‘sleep’, and the image seems to strongly suggest you can just lay down and take a nap during your session. However as the instructions make clear (in next attached image), you absolutely should not sleep while using this. So I have to take a half star off for ‘directions sends mixed instructions’. It’s a minor thing but it’s a safety issue so maybe they could adjust that image sometime whenever they’re revising or reprinting a new batch of instruction manuals. Until then just remember don’t sleep while using it. It’s a great way to sit back and watch a movie or listen to some music or a book-on-tape though.I’m 5’10” and I easily fit inside, with room to spare. I think anyone up to 6’6″ or even a bit more could fit inside fine, and anything under that height should be fine too there will just be some unused space at the bottom by your feet.The leather feels really great, and it’s very easy to clean and maintain after sessions. It also includes a nice case to store it in, and packing it up after it’s cooled off when you’re done with it is quick and easy.The price seems very reasonable for such a large, well made, leather appliance like this. It’s not a cheap device, but I think the value you get out of it is great for the money spent.Top marks all around, just taking half a star off for the instructions issue.Score: 4.5 stars

Ordered this infrared sauna blanket and have been enjoying using it as part of my relaxation time at home. Functionality wise, it works as described, you can adjust the temperature and set the timer using the LED remote, so it is easy to customize each session to however long or warm you want it. The material feels durable and well made, and it heats up steadily without any issues so far. As for portability, it folds up and is not too bad to move around or store away when not in use. Weight feels reasonable for what it is, definitely light enough that I can manage it on my own without any trouble setting it up or putting it away. Ease of use is a big plus here, everything is controlled right from the remote so there is no complicated setup, you just plug it in, set your temperature and time, and get in. Size wise it fits comfortably for a full body session and felt like a good fit for my height. For the price, I think it is a good value considering you are getting a full at home sauna experience without needing to invest in a bulky standalone unit. Overall it has been a nice addition to my at home wind down routine and a good way to relax after a long day.
